    Hello,

My name is Vaztox aka Tobias, a builder on the creative server.
I'm 27 years old and is currently studying to become a teacher in Denmark. Me and my class have gotten a task to interview a few elementary school pupils ranging from the age of 10 up to the age of 16. As I have come to understand, we have quite a few of you here in that range group. I have chosen to make my interview here, as most in my class will probably ask danish pupils, but, I am curious about what foreign pupils like and dislike.

    Practical information:
    - You will be anonymous and only what country you are from and your age will be shared with my classmates.
    - You will have no contact with me other than with your answers on this thread
    - This is voluntary, so if you don't want to answer then you are not required to.

After having read the information above, I hope you are not scared away by my "openness".

    The questions are simple:
    - What country do you live in and what age are you?
    - What do you value or disvalue in a teacher? (It could be strict, empathic, laid back, outgoing, etc.)
    - What do you think makes great teaching or bad teaching? (Doing activities, listening to the teacher, etc.)
    - If you like to do activities in the teaching, which do you like the most?

Thank you for your time, it means a lot to me that you will participate! It'll help me to become a better teacher when I'm done studying, thank you!

    Sincerely,
    Tobias.

Hey, this is actually a very interesting thing to bring up! I'm personally older than what you're looking for, however, I do have a few younger siblings in that age range that I'd be more than happy to ask about this. If you'd appreciate their response, please let me know and I'll report their answers after asking! If not, I still wish you the best of luck.

You'd be surprised as to how many players are older than that on the server.

I'm sure there are, most I have seen talking about their age is of that particular group though, hence my humble, yet serious request. :)

Greetings, Tobias! Apologies for the delayed response but I managed to set aside some time and ask my little sisters about what you were talking about! I paraphrased all they told me, I hope that’s alright. (Forgive me if I worded the questions differently from what your point was, in English they tend to be a lot more simplified and I mean no offense to your native language/knowledge of the English language!)

What country do you live in and how old are you?

(We all live in the United States, just to clarify.)

    First sister: Twelve.

    Second sister: Six!

What traits do you like or dislike in teachers?

First: I like when they’re helpful and funny. I don’t like when they’re too talkative and make things more complicated than it needs to be.

Second: I like my teachers because they’re nice and act like my best friend! My favorite teacher takes her students if they’re struggling for special help. I don’t like teachers who are mean and give me work that’s too hard.

What should teachers do that would make them “good” teachers? What about “bad” teachers?

First: I think good teachers should take the time to help their students if they’re struggling on a subject and don’t pick favorites/class pets. I don’t think people who are rude or too nosy make good teachers.

    Second: (No answer/off-topic.)

What’s your favorite part of class?

    First: Group projects!

    Second: Things involving writing!

    Greetings Connor,

First off thank you very much for taking some of your time and your siblings' for that matter to do this! Time is one of the things that are most valueable to us as humans.

These answers are very nice, there are a lot of analytical material I can use!
Some of the answers are very relateable with danish pupils and some are very surprising to me, especially the last answer which involves writing! It's rare for me to hear someone of that age to enjoy this particular activity and I hope I will experience that in my own practice.

Again thank you for taking your time to do this for someone you don't know, it means a lot, and please tell your siblings my thanks as well!

I hope you have a great day mate, perhaps we'll see each other in Minecraft. ;)
