From all of my time playing on SK players had the permision to build with barriers, they were usefull, especialy in creating fountians. So I would like to know why were they removed? Since I wanted to make a 1x1x2 fountains but I can't now because the perm to place barries is removed.
I think you may be confusing SK with another server. We've had barriers banned since around the first week or two of Creative 2.0 being released. Designers have permissions to place barriers, but not the average player. I'd recommend ranking up to designer or finding a way of making a fountain without barriers, perhaps with string. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yes, yes, yes, but whats the reason for them beeing removed from engineer/architect, like barriers give so much potential now especialy with concreed poweder, so not when but why were they removed is my question.
Designers have permissions to place barriers, but not the average player. Engineer or Architects have never had barriers.
You might be remembering Creative v1.0. I believe barriers were enabled on that server for a brief amount of time, but players were using them to make invisible walls around the freebuild spawns and plots. If you place blocks around your build where you'd like the barriers to be, you can ask a Designer or staff member to replace the blocks with barriers using WorldEdit. It would be very difficult for us to give Architects access to use barriers, due to the permission for them being an "all or nothing" type of permission. This means that if we give Architects access to barriers, they will have access to every restricted block, which is reserved for the Designer ranked players.
