Hello everybody! This build contest has been an amazing journey through undiscovered lands and their peoples. We have seen magical creatures, strange worlds and even a glimpse of the future. It has been a lot of fun watching all of your builds grow and become something unique and awesome. There can only be so many winners and deciding on them was not an easy feat. So even if you did not manage to win this time, the next contest will give you a new chance to prove your skills Now, that the results are here, everybody has two weeks’ time to copy their build over from the contest world to their own plots and then to submit them as a build if they wish to. The first three places will be copied over to the museum world in the next few days and will be submitted from there. Store coupons and build points will be distributed over the weekend as well. Without further delay I will present the winners now: 1st Place - Luminiscient (1,000 points + $50 donation store coupon): 2nd Place - Teh_Derp1337 (500 points + $25 donation store coupon): 3rd Place - tsunxmi (250 points + $15 donation store coupon): 4th - 5th place - Jeroen78 and Pizza_Hut (100 points): 6th - 10th place – Ultrabrain, Riddeh, Corleia, Krayella and Aerenia (50 points): Finally, I would like to thank all the amazing builders and staff members who made the contest possible! Best of luck!
Pfawh, I'm very happy! There was certainly some very tough competition! Shout outs to all the other amazing builders that participated!
First of all a big congratulations to the winners. I do have a question though. Can we perhaps get some insight in the judging process? I'm genuinly curious about how you managed to make a proper order with so many good builds.
I was personally not one of those who judged for this contest, but I know how the process worked. Basically, all of the judges gave tally points for 4 categories: Creativity (or originality), Quality (how well it was made), Unity (style consistency and overall look), and Theme (how well the builder followed the contest theme, in this case Undiscovered Civilization). The tallies were counted and ranked in order from highest to lowest for every plot.
