Welcome to our fourth weekly devlog update! Here’s what we’ve been working on this week:
Minecraft 1.21 Update
Sadly, there have been no significant changes in the development of the Minecraft 1.21 server software over the past week.
ShadowPass Clarification
Last time, we revealed the exciting new ShadowPass feature coming to Towny 6. While we received many positive reactions, we also noticed some questions and concerns about how this feature will be implemented and whether it might make Towny more of a pay-to-win server.
We want to assure you that the ShadowPass is designed to be a fun new quests system that is accessible to everyone. Here’s how it works:
- Daily and Weekly Quests: Players can complete daily and weekly quests to earn cool rewards, including server-specific rewards like Towny money or experience, as well as fun cosmetics on the network.
- Accessibility: The ShadowPass is available to all players, rewarding those who play regularly and complete a lot of quests.
- Premium Version: There is a premium version of the ShadowPass that can be purchased using SKoins, our network-wide, in-game currency. SKoins can be collected through normal gameplay, special quests, events, etc.
- Fair Play: While SKoins can be purchased through the server store, there will be plenty of opportunities to earn them in-game, ensuring that the premium ShadowPass is accessible to everyone who plays regularly.
Our goal with the ShadowPass is to enhance your gameplay experience with new and exciting challenges and rewards, not to create a pay-to-win environment.
